Energetic and lovable lead singer Bert McCracken was quick to promise old songs for their diehard fans (which was basically everyone) that packed out the Lock Up Stage.

Quintessential hits included opener ‘Take It Away’ as well as ‘The Bird and the Worm’ and ‘I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)’ that soon reminded anyone who had forgotten what the band are all about. The crowd constantly threw their hands in the air when called upon, as well as producing a crunching wall of death to be placed on the band’s upcoming DVD! The crowd really felt like a family, singing in unison as bodies bounced off one another throughout.

The band have spent 18 years delivering their powerful brand of music to the masses; but surprisingly today, McCracken also delivered several of Shakespeare’s soliloquies in between tracks, reminding us also of what a well-read man he is.

Thanking the crowd for making their dreams come true, without doubt the band themselves made fans dreams come true today with a nostalgic setlist.
