10 of Lil Uzi Vert’s essential tracks

Lil Uzi Vert is more than just a conventional hip-hop artist and rock star, he’s not afraid to embrace his diverse set of musical influences and refuses to conform to societies norms.

If you haven’t delved into Lil Uzi’s back catalogue yet, we count down 10 of his essential tracks before he hits the Main Stage on Friday at this year’s Leeds Festival.

1. Super Saiyan

Because why wouldn’t you write a song dedicated to your favourite show? Kudos to those Dragon Bull Z fans.

2. You Was Right

On this track, Uzi admits his past mistakes in his fractured relationship with his girlfriend at the time. His flow on this one had us hooked.

3. 7AM

Listen to it at 7am in the campsites if you want, or just prep yourself for one of the best sets you’ll see this August bank holiday weekend by blasting it on repeat now.

4. Ps & Qs

If there was ever a beat perfect for Spongebob, it’s this one. Don’t even try and deny it.

5. Sauce It Up

If your shoulder doesn’t start moving every time this song comes on, you might be broken. Uzi’s basically hip-hop’s version of Marilyn Manson, and we’re here for it.

6. New Patek

Ok, we admit that songs that are nearly 6 minutes long can be a little off putting – but you need this one in your life. “Hit the shower you might stink” was basically written about us after Leeds.

7. Money Longer

All you’ll be able to think about after watching this is about that damn alien dancing.

8. Do What I Want

Basically everyone’s life anthem when they turn 18.

9. Erase Your Social

“I ain’t got no Snapchat homie, I think it’s too personal, that’s what I’ve got Twitter for. Instagram, I’ll bag your h**” Well, he’s not wrong, is he?

10. XO TOUR Llif3

Probably Uzi’s most well-known song, ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ uses dark beats, mixed with almost satanic vocals to deliver the instantly recognisable song.

Now you’ve immersed yourself in the anime-world of Lil Uzi – make sure you don’t miss him on Friday at this year’s Festival.
